Parish Heating Ltd Service Plan Terms & Conditions
Your Cover
To be accepted onto any A. Parish Heating Ltd Service Plan, an annual service and inspection must be performed to ensure your boiler is not beyond economical repair. If deemed beyond economical repair, our engineer will advise you and offer a free, no-obligation survey and quotation for a replacement boiler. The cost of the boiler service still applies but will be deducted from the final installation invoice if you accept our quotation. If you choose not to proceed with us, the annual service cost remains. Any parts requiring replacement during the initial suitability service visit will be chargeable if you decide to proceed. This does not apply to renewal services.
Coverage Period
Coverage starts from the day you are accepted following an annual service and lasts for twelve months. You will receive an email notification regarding renewal when your cover is about to end. Prices for renewal do not change due to policy usage during your cover period but may increase due to national inflation rates. You will receive at least 28 days’ notice of any intended charge increases and the opportunity to change, cancel, or not renew your cover. Coverage automatically renews yearly on the date your first contract was taken out unless you inform us otherwise.
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice at the completion of the service. If payment is not received within 14 days, coverage will be forfeited, and any subsequent callouts or claims will be chargeable at standard rates. Payments can be made by a recurring annual payment or monthly direct debits via GoCardless. If the monthly direct debit is cancelled during the contract period, the outstanding amount for the year’s cover will be invoiced for payment.
Replacement Costs
While the cost of replacement parts is included in several plans, the cost to replace an appliance such as a boiler, cylinder, or air conditioning unit is not included. If an appliance is deemed beyond economic repair, a competitive quotation reflecting your service plan status will be provided.
General Conditions
Your Responsibilities
The contract is specific to the boiler or appliance at the property visited for the annual inspection and lasts for a 12-month period. If you move during the coverage period, the contract and service plan costs remain. To provide coverage at a new property, a new annual service and contract commencement are required. No refunds are provided for a change in ownership. Notify us as soon as possible if you move to update our records and provide new contact information. Also, inform us of any changes or damage to any system or appliance covered under your service plan.
We require access to your property to carry out services or works in accordance with your contract. Visits will always be communicated and scheduled with you, considering your availability and preferences. Ensure our engineers have access to your property at the agreed times. If you need to cancel an appointment, provide as much notice as possible. An adult aged 18 or over must be present to grant access unless agreed otherwise. Access must be made possible by the homeowner or cover holder.
We will not carry out works outside the scope of your cover without providing a costing and gaining approval. Our engineers must access relevant parts of your property to carry out works, and the home must be safe and accessible. If an engineer cannot gain access or perform works due to the condition of the home or due to aggression, you may be liable for associated charges. Asbestos must be removed before we can continue works, and this is the homeowner’s responsibility. Ensure accessibility to the relevant appliance; notify us upon booking if accessibility is an issue. Engineers will bring ladders; additional access equipment must be sourced by the customer or charged at an additional rate.
Tenants can contact us directly to arrange appointments, but authority must be granted by the homeowner or letting agent in advance of any works.
Our Responsibilities
As a service plan customer, we guarantee same working day attendance if the call-out booking is made by 10:00 am. A. Parish Heating Ltd does not provide emergency services beyond this guarantee.
Service Availability
- Parish Heating Ltd does not cover evenings, nights, weekends, or Bank Holidays. Limited coverage is available between Christmas and New Year. A. Parish Heating Ltd is not liable for any out-of-hours services sourced by the customer from third-party companies.
Parts and Repairs
If a fault is diagnosed and a part is required, we will act within reasonable timeframes to resolve the issue. Although our engineers carry a comprehensive range of parts and materials, we cannot guarantee availability for all boiler models. We will promptly communicate ordering timeframes and schedule a return visit to fit parts as soon as possible if not done on the same day. Service plan customers will not be charged call-out fees, and multiple visits will not incur additional costs.
General Coverage
Our Service Plans offer comprehensive cover for various services without charging an excess or limiting callouts or repairs, subject to the terms of your individual plan. Aesthetic and decorative damage resulting from central heating, plumbing, or electrical system failures are not the responsibility of A. Parish Heating Ltd unless caused by our negligence during installation within six months of the reported damage.
Malicious, intentional, and non-accidental damage to appliances or system parts will not be covered. Faults or damages arising from third-party interference, extreme weather conditions (e.g., flooding, lightning), or other external variables will not be covered if deemed influential by our engineers.
Routine tasks that do not require qualified engineers, such as resetting controls, routine re-fills, topping up sealed systems, replacing batteries, or defrosting frozen pipes, are not included under the care plan. Faults related to the supply of gas, electricity, or water are also not covered by A. Parish Heating Ltd.
We guarantee to repair or replace any faulty parts we have supplied or fix any faulty work we have completed for twelve months from the date of the work. Issues arising from sludge and debris in the system are not covered under the Service Plans. An engineer may recommend a power flush if needed, and subsequent visits may be chargeable if sludge and debris are found to be the cause of the problem.
- Parish Heating Ltd reserves the right to cancel a service plan contract at any time and will provide a refund relative to the period of cover cancelled. We are not liable if unable to fulfil our obligations due to industrial disputes or force majeure. We are also not liable for the cost of temporary secondary heating or any temporary accommodation expenses.
